Our Corporate Social Responsibility

We actively supports religious institutions, schools, community development work and conduct a number of social activities. Just to give an idea of our CSR work we have listed below 46 projects carried out for the last two year period. Our Community Development Fund helps the local communities in a number of ways.

CSR Activities from April 2008 to July 2010

• Donated 12 sets of education materials to Ekamuthu Lama Samagaya Kalogahaela for National games ( Rs. 4800.00 April 2008)
• Donated Paints, School bags, Sports goods to DS Senanayake Primary School Kandalama together with Lebanon Group guest (Abbott). Organized by Kandalama Hotel. (Rs. 200,000.00 April 2008)
• Awareness programme conducted for Kandalama DS Senanayake and Thennakoon Maha Vidiyalays to commemoration World Water Day and World Forestry Day, Tree planting campaign 345 Students Participated. ( Rs.5000.00 April 2008)
• Donation given to Lt. General Dinzil Kobbekaduwa Trust through Sri Lanka Army Hospital (Rs. 20000.00 April 2008)
• Environmental quiz program conducted at Pujapitiya Pradeshiya Saba and all the gifts given by hotel.( May 2008)
• Anti smoking campaign - donation given to Dambulla Samurdy Development fund to print stickers for Anti Smoking Day. (Rs 7000.00 May 2008)
• Donation given to Rangiri – Sri Lanka Radio Dambulla anniversary program (Rs. 25000.00 May 2008)
• Donation given to Kandalama Sri Sudarshanaramaya Buddhist Temple for building repair ( Rs. 30000.00 May 2008)
• Donation given to Dambulla National School student ( Miss Ishani Edirisingha) for her sports activities (Rs. 22000.00 May 2008)
• Donation given to Dambulla National School for the cricket academy sports goods (Rs, 15000.00 August 2008)
• Soft drinks and food given to the Gunnandana Sarvodaya Shramadana Society for welfare work (Rs. 1050.00 June 2008)
• Lunch provided for Dambulla National School for three Art and cultural shows ( Rs 10000.00 September 2008)
• 500 nos empty PET bottles given to Matale Pradeshiya Saba for drinking water supply to the North and East refugees. October 2008
• 200 nos Garbage bags donated to the Dambulla divisional Sectary office for cleaning campaign in Dambulla city. (Rs4000.00 October 2008) 50nos hotel staff participated for and provided volunteering work above program. October 2008
• Donated discarded roofing timber 993 sqr feet to the Deyasenapura Sri Boddirukkaramaya Temple in Polannruwa December 2008
• 20 nos Scholarships given to the Pahala Eruela School on January 2009. (Rs. 42831 .40 January 2009)
• Donation given Electrical goods for Sisira Watta Benevolent Society. (Rs 7500.00 January 2009)
• Donation given for Dambulla National school sports meet (Rs 3000.00 February 2009)
• Complete Computer set given to Kanthale Mahavilipura school together with AFLAC International organized by Kandalama hotel.( February 2009)
• Environment awareness program conduct by the hotel for 111 students (. February 2009)
• Donation to Kaluwaghaela School for color washing of grade 01 class room’s. (Rs. 4980.00 March 2009) Hotel staff volunteered.
• Scholarship given to schoolboy in Kaluagahaela school every month (Rs. 5000/= starting from April 2008 to continue for 2010 ) for his future education. (March 2009)
• Donated Complete computer set and 500 nor s Library books to Thithawelgolla school through AFLAC International. (March 2009)
• 54 nos hotel room curtains donated to Dambulla Base Hospital ward no 06. March 2009
• Water supply( Deep Well) given to the Eruela village benefit for (44 Family’s) sponsors by Hela Sarana Society in England. Organizational work done by Kandalama hotel. ( Rs. 363020.00 March 2009)
• Sponsorships given to the Phala Eruala village New year celebrations (Rs 3500.00 April 2009)
• Swimming wear and sports goods donation to the Kibbissa Junior school ( Rs 10000.00 May 2009)
• Celebrating Hotel 15th anniversary, Organized a Free Medical Camp (Eye Camp and Blood Donation) for Kandalama and vicinity village people. More than 1,550 people participated (June 2009)
• Donated Medicine to Sigiriya Base Hospital ( Rs 5000.00 June 2009)
• Meals provided to the Life Saving and Aquatic Association Dambulla worth (Rs 5000.00 on July 2009)
• Donated Educational books to Kaloghaela primary school ( Rs 2500.00 November 2009)
• Donated School Library Books and Equipment through Candleaidlanka,Sirasa Radio by Heritance Kandalama to Wawela Waea Vidyalaya (Rs 150,000.00 October 2009)
• Donated Goods and voluntary worked done Kakirawa Disable Children’s Rehabilitation center. (December 2009)

• Donation given for medical treatment for eye surgery Miss Harshani Chaturasingha (Rs 11900.00 collection from all hotel Executives, 2010/01/31)
• 24 nos Scholarship for Pahala Eruela Village Students.Cash Collection from Wish tree on 2009 December. ( Rs. 51207.60 February 2010).
• Donation given to School children in Kap Ela Village (Rs 15100.00 March 2010).
• Donation given to Kandalama Village family to make their house through Divisional Secretariat (Rs 3020.00 worth cement March 2010)
• For New Year games in village donated Timber for traditional games( Eericanut trees Rs. 4500.00 April 2010)
• Awareness programme on Productivity conducted for 40 family members of the villages through the National Productivity Secretariat ( 2th May 2010)
• Donation given for Anti Smoking day for Samurdi Sangamaya ( Rs 2000.00 26th May 2010)
• Donation given for Sri Dammananda Temple in Kapela , by providing drinking water (1st June 2010)
• Donation given to Wawela wewa School building materials ( Rs 19600.00 on 21st June 2010)
